Koliabor Manor

The Kaliabor Manor is distinctly divided into the heritage bungalow and the spectacular cottages. Kaliabor Manor provides accommodation for 20 guests in four heritage rooms in the bungalow and six private cottages . The cottages have a built up area of more than 400 sq. ft each and the heritage rooms have a built up area of more than 1000 sq. ft. each.

All the cottages have private garden and an outside deck for sunbathing. The cottages feature king sized beds, freestanding rolltop baths and separate showers. The cottages have wooden floor ing and embroidered interiors and are furnished in regal and elegant style. All the heritage rooms and the cottages have a DVD player and a minibar.

Entry to each cottage is through a screened area that contains an armchair and a dining table with chairs. Beyond this is centre of the cottage which has a small daybed, ideal for lounging. Opening from the central area would be three further sections for sleeping, bathing and dressing. The 'bedroom' area is fitted with a king-size bed flanked by writing desk. The bathing area includes a shower, Jacuzzi and separate toilet whilst the dressing area contains the cupboards with hanging space and twin vanities. Cotton screens and curtains provide complete privacy. All the rooms and cottages are air-conditioned and there is also a ceiling fan/standing fan.

Personal attention is the hallmark of your stay here. Your manager is also your host and is on hand to see to all your desires and answer all your questions. There’s all the luxury of a private safari and vintage car without the excessive costs.

Activities
There is lot to discover in Kaliabor Manor itself. Kaliabor Manor is home to more than 300 species of birds. Kaliabor Manor is strategically located from the world renowned UNESCO heritage site Kaziranga National Wildlife Park, Nameri Wildlife Park and Orang Wildlife Park. Apart from wildlife tourism tourists can indulge themselves into dolphin-watching, wild water rafting and hiking. The vision of camp is to provide an intimate wildlife encounter – a time to reflect and find inspiration in nature.
Activities include bird watching, wildlife, wilderness walks, aromatherapy, Ayurveda and visit to local communities. A visit to the nearby tea plantations and the tea factory is must. We encourage our guests to indulge in activities that will allow them to walk close to the animals, and thereby enhance their wildlife encounter.

Dining
The Dining Room at the resort is furnished with tables and chairs and has an interactive kitchen. The main kitchen is a hidden kitchen located behind the Dining Room. The kitchen serves Indian and local cuisine and a range of Western dishes. Most of the vegetables and herbs are grown in the camp’s organic vegetable garden to ensure best possible freshness. Meals are served on fine china and crystal as well as traditional silverware. Guests can even tailor their own menus with our Executive Chef.

Facilities
Lounge and Library
The lounge and the library are located in bungalow. The lounge is furnished with banquettes, reading tables and chairs. The library provides a wide collection of coffee-table books on the national park, the rhinos, the elephants, the tigers, various birds, tea gardens, the history and culture of Assam, as well as on other aspects of Indian culture and history. Also on offer is a selection of novels, magazines and board games. A small range of local handicrafts, fabrics, CDs, CD players and sundries can also be made available for purchase.

Conferencing
A small conference cottage would soon come up and could be the ideal place for real meetings in unreal settings. The Conference cottage would be equipped with the entire necessary infrastructure for corporate events and meet.

Fireplace
The fireplace is the ideal location for a drink during the evening as well as being the pre- and post-excursion gathering point and an informal lounge and dining area.

Canopies
Four canopies have been erected at landmark points for the guest to sit in leisure during their walks.

How to Reach
By Air
Guwahati (155 kms) the capital of Assam is the nearest Airport though Jorhat also has a commercial airport. Guwahati is well connected with the rest of the country by all the major airlines. A number of flights are available to and from all several major cities in the country through out the day and night.

By Rail
Guwahati is the main railhead that has a number of trains for most of the important towns and cities of the country. Mariani (50 kms) is also well connected.

By Road
One can easily reach Kaliabor by the National Highway 37A that goes from Assam to Arunachal Pradesh and runs through this city, connecting it to the rest of the state including the capital city of Guwahati.

Tariffs
All rates are in USD for one night inclusive of all meal charges and one Jungle Safari by Jeep. All rates are applicable for a minimum stay of 2 nights and 3 days. 15% Luxury tex would be additional.

Cancellation Charges
Minimum 15% cancellation charges per cancellation. 25% of the confirmed rate per cancellation for less than 25 days. Upto 50% per cancellation for less than 15 days and 100% per cancellation for less than 7 days.

Terms of Booking
100 per cent advance. The tariff covers stay and all meals. All extras would be billed separately and needs to be settled in cash. Check in time is 1300 hrs. Check out time is before 1200 hrs. Extended check out time will depend upon the availability.
